Waterman Group
Waterman Melbourne appointed to Ravenhall Prison Development
      February 2013
Waterman has been engaged as the Technical Advisors to the Victorian State Government for all engineering services for the new prison in Melbourne. The project will be delivered as a public private partnership, with the private sector responsible for design, construction, maintenance and operations (including custodial services). The 500-bed medium security facility will add much needed capacity to the State’s prison system. It will be built on existing Crown land at Ravenhall.

The project incorporates the preparation of the PPP Technical Brief for all engineering services and ESD services.

Waterman Melbourne Director Phil Barnes commented “This is a great win for us. Our ability to win major projects in Australia including public private partnerships is testament to the skillset of the team we have in the Melbourne office. Client side roles on PPP’s have become a niche market for us and one that we hope to Build on in the future”.
